Shop Policy

 

1. Payment

         We accept all major credit and debit cards via Shopify Payments: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, USDC and Apple Pay.

         PayPal is also accepted, with Express Checkout available.

         We do not accept cheques. Bank transfers are accepted but must be arranged directly with us in advance. Items will only be dispatched once payment has fully cleared in our account.

2. Taxes & Customs

         The price displayed in our shop is the total price payable to us. However, as the buyer and importer, you are solely responsible for any customs duties or import taxes levied by your country.

         Important: If customs charges are raised in your country and you refuse to pay them, causing the item to be returned to us, you will be charged the full outbound shipping cost we incurred, plus any additional costs arising from the refusal.

         All international shipments must pass through customs clearance. You may also be required to provide additional documentation to satisfy regulatory agencies in the destination country before delivery can proceed.

         We recommend checking your country’s customs requirements for typewriters before placing your order.

3. Our Guarantee & Aftercare

We believe in genuine, lasting support — not the kind of guarantee that simply passes costs back to you. Here’s what our commitment actually means:

         From day one, we are personally available to help you get the most from your typewriter via email, WhatsApp, FaceTime, or any communication tool that works for you.

         If an issue is identified that cannot be resolved remotely, we will guide you through how to pack the typewriter safely and arrange a courier collection from your address anywhere in the world — at no cost to you.

         In rare cases where we are unable to generate a return label from our end, we will communicate clearly on the best available return method.

Should we be unable to resolve the issue after receiving the typewriter back, we will offer one of the following resolutions:

         Send a replacement typewriter (subject to availability).

         Issue a full refund of the amount paid.

         Invite you to select an alternative typewriter from our collection.

4. Returns

Each typewriter is individually restored, professionally photographed, and described in detail on our website to help you make a fully informed decision. We encourage you to ask us any questions, request additional photos or video, or discuss the typewriter before purchasing — we are always happy to help.

         Each typewriter requires at least one hour of careful preparation and specialist packing before dispatch. Please ensure you are confident in your purchase before proceeding.

         Returns must be requested within 14 days of delivery. After this period, change-of-mind returns will not be accepted.

         If a return is approved, the typewriter must be returned in its original, unaltered condition, packed to the same standard in which it was sent. Please contact us before returning so we can advise on the appropriate courier.

         Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer (an invoice will be provided if we arrange collection on your behalf).

         Any damage incurred during a return will be the customer’s responsibility and no refund will be issued in such cases.

         Typewriters that have been altered, tampered with, or adjusted in any way will not be eligible for a refund and must be returned in the same condition as dispatched.

5. Damaged Items

All our typewriters are packaged with great care for a safe journey. In the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged, please follow these steps immediately:

         Photograph both the item and the external packaging before opening or disturbing it further.

         Inform the courier of the damage at the point of delivery if possible.

         Contact us straight away with photographic evidence of both the item and the packaging so we can raise a claim and resolve the matter promptly.

6. Cancellation Policy

         You may cancel your order free of charge at any time before the typewriter has been collected by the courier. Simply contact us and we will cancel the order with no charge.

         Once the typewriter has been collected and is in transit, you will be responsible for the full outbound shipping cost (we will supply a copy of the invoice). This applies even if the parcel has not yet been delivered or opened, and includes any return collection costs where applicable.
