Mechanical condition:
Professionally restored to working order with two main issues.
TAB option is removed & back spacing is historically known to be problematic due to the different size of letters like the M for example and even though, back space pressure wont return the heavy carriage.
Proportional spacing working and tested.
Two spaces working as intended. Right moves 3 increments and left one moves two increments.
New & fresh Black/Red Ribbon Fitted on original metal spools
I would say that typing is fine but due to the complex escapement mechanism and the different sizes of the letters, it might be occasionally not precise. We have done a lot and still, it is not 100%.
Cosmetic condition:
Like all our typewriters, it was genuinely restored & serviced.
Compared to the Reiner in my personal collection, this one is in excellent cosmetic condition with minor surface marks.
Frame is still glossy and marks are minimal.
Cleaned keys.
Will be supplied with a typewriter pad and set of ribbons.
Keyboard & Font/Typeface:
Italian QZERTY Keyboard
