UK to US Shipping of Typewriters: Prompt & on time.
At Mr & Mrs Vintage Typewriters, we know how important it is for our customers in the everywhere around the world to receive their typewriters quickly and without hassle.
But in the United States, Over the past few months, and as we all know, there was a change in Tariff rules when buying anything from outside the US.
We’ve received several queries about tariffs, so we wanted to share some clarity from our our exposure and share our experience.
Since imposing the new tariffs Many shipments from the EU to the US have recently faced delays and extra charges & currently all sorts of shipping is stopped from EU to the US.
However, the UK is not part of the EU, which means when you order a fully restored typewriter from Mr & Mrs Vintage Typewriters in the UK, your order is not affected by those EU tariff issues.
Technically, US customs lists a 10% tariff on typewriters bought from the UK. But here’s the good news: we’ve had feedback from several of our customers in the United States, and so far, none have been asked to pay this before delivery now we are now sending our typewriters "Tariffs PAID", so our clients do not have to be worried or surprised (Started on the 17th of November 2025) .
