This is a good example of the Early Olympia progress typewriter that had the original shape of the Early Olympia typewriters like Simplex and Elite and was the early design for later SM1. 

Serial 57XXX from 1935. and  & that's considerably and early version of this iconic typewriter. last one we sold had a serial in the 150 thousands. 

Mechanical condition. 

Professionally restored to perfect working order. 

New & fresh Black/red ribbon fitted. 

Nice dinging bell and smooth action. 

Metal spools fitted. 

Cosmetic condition:

Like all our typewriters, it was genuinely restored & serviced.

This typewriter is a rescue project and we managed to get it back to good shape but it will show some age marks on the inside mechanism due to age. 

Good to very good frame with minor surface marks but the original paint looks great, all original brown wood grain. 

Minor fading to decals due to age. 

Clean round Keys.

Original carrying lid and base that are in very good condition and normal age signs. 

Will add new feed to the case.
