189X International #5 typewriter

Linear index machine with its type on a bar that slid back and forth for letter selection.

This is not common while The "New American" variant is more common. Similar in design to the earlier 1887  Pearl , Sun  and the Odell  .

Purely collectable typewriter. 

Made from 1890s. 

Restored to look good with proper polish. 

Will display nicely in any collection. 

It is not ready to type and rubber is worn. 

One of the sought after Index typewriters in any typewriter collection.
